Baking instructions for my pottery
Baking in earthenware pottery is very simple if you follow theses easy directions. You must remember that this is not Corning Ware and cannot take the thermal shock of a preheated oven.
- Make sure that the casserole or serving vessel is completely dry (down to the foot ring) and at room temperature.
- All ingredients should be at room temperature or above.
- Place the casserole or serving vessel on a cookie sheet and put it in the oven.
- Turn your oven on and set it to the necessary temperature. This will only add about 5 minutes to your baking time.
If you want to reheat leftovers, make sure that everything is at room temperature before you do this. The easiest way is to use the defrost feature on your microwave oven. You can then heat everything on high or at whatever setting you like.
All of my pottery can be put in the dishwasher and used in a microwave oven. If you follow these directions, you will have many years of enjoyment with my pottery.
